Juno Beach Centre at Courseulles-sur-Mer

The Juno Beach Centre is Canada’s Second World War museum, on the dunes at Courseulles-sur-Mer where the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division landed on June 6, 1944. It opened on June 6, 2003, founded by D-Day veteran Garth Webb, and commemorates the 45,000 Canadians who died in the war, including 5,500 in the Battle of Normandy and 381 on D-Day across the army, navy, and air force.

What You Will See

The permanent galleries cover Canada’s whole war effort, at home and on every front, not just the landing. Young Canadian guides staff the Centre, and from April to October they lead 45-minute tours of the beach and the surviving Atlantic Wall bunkers outside. Plan about 90 minutes inside, plus the bunker tour if you take it.

Hours and Tickets

The Centre opens daily most of the year, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in high season and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in winter, with an annual closure in January. Adult entry costs 9€ for the museum alone, or 13.50€ combined with the guided beach and bunker tour, at July 2026 rates. Check current hours and book at junobeach.org.
